Hallway of a residential building, Prague

The corridor feels like a quiet passage into the past — elegant, calm, and refined. Warm light along the walls and subtle illumination of the frescoes bring the space to life and highlight its historical beauty. The combination of golden tones and cooler wall shades creates a harmony between history and modern lighting design.

The corridor was pre-wired, and my task was to create pleasant, glare-free lighting for comfortable passage. Five-meter LED strips with a very warm color temperature of 2200 K provide gentle light that remains comfortable even late at night. The wall paintings are illuminated with energy-efficient LED spotlights that enhance their depth. Above the mailboxes, the light is directed both upward and downward — ensuring good visibility while preserving the darker ceiling details and avoiding a "cave-like" effect.
